Dato’ Aminudin Hashim

Dato’ Aminudin Hashim was appointed as the Group Managing Director of the Maju Group on 1 October 2020.

He is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from the UK, an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School leadership program and is also one of the very few globally ever awarded The Sir Ian Morrow award for the World’s Best Strategy & Marketing paper in CIMA final examinations in 1996.

Dato’ Aminudin started his career in Rating Agency Malaysia as a Credit Analyst before climbing up as Management Consultant in PA Consulting, Unisys, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, IBM Business Consulting, MSC Technology Centre (MDeC), The iA Group (formerly Cap Gemini Ernst & Young) in various strategy consulting and project leadership assignments. He was also the Founding Chief Executive of a Socio Economic & Policy Think Tank (2009-2011) and also the Founding Group CEO of a State Owned Enterprise/GLC (2012-2018) where he has successfully built the organisation from zero to a respected, reputable and sustainable organisation. In 2018, he started his own Hospitality & Villa Development/Management Company in Langkawi.

He has an extensive network and experience in tourism, mineral, property & real estate, renewable energy, agriculture, education, technology and has served at senior positions in Government and senior advisory capacity on public policy, socioeconomic development, capacity building, institutional reform, change management and stakeholder management. Aside from that, he has extensive strategy and transformation and business turnaround advisory experience.

Dato’ Aminudin is a highly trained and practising professional and experienced C Level leader with 25 years of professional consulting, corporate and entrepreneurship drawn from Multinationals Consulting and Government Linked Company work exposure in the South East Asian region.

With over 25 years of many significant accomplishments, he is now the Group Managing Director of the Maju Group where he is contributing his wealth of experience immensely to transform the group to propel the way forward towards realising the vision of the group.
