PERWAJA STEEL SDN BHD under Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd is Malaysia's largest steel producer. Its steel making plant is capable of producing 1,500,000 metric tonnes of steel annually, comprising billets, beam blanks and blooms. From these, rolling operations produce sections, H- and I- beams, bars, wire rods, channels, angles and nails.

In addition to its core business of steel production, Perwaja provides advisory and promotional services to encourage the use of structural steel in construction and other industries.

In Malaysia, professional associations working together to generate awareness in STEEL as Structural elements are the Malaysian Structural Steel Association (MSSA), Institution Of Engineers Malaysia (IEM ), Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Association Of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) and Malaysian Architects' Association (PAM).
